The Truth is Still Out There

TheXFiles_01

A new X-File movie is coming out this year!

According to IMDB, it's still 'untitled', with no plot line or any hint of what the story is about has been released so far - very mysterious eh. But the duo who made X-File into the sci-fi phenomenon as it is today, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will return as Mulder and Scully, and with the creator of the X-Files, Chris Carter sitting on the Director's seat, I'm sure the new movie won't run away from the original spirit of the TV series.

The X-Files was one of my favorite TV series ever. When I was still a kid, the show very much satisfied my fantasies about aliens, ghosts, and all sort of paranormal happenings. Also, I'm sure that the enthusiasm of Agent Mulder in the investigation of all those paranormal cases, which ended in proving his beliefs to many of those who are skeptical, including his partner Scully, touched many of those with paranormal experience but with no one who would believe in them. Not to mention most of the episodes in the show were about popular supernatural topics, which suit the curiosity of many very well.

It will be very interesting to see how David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson pick up their partnership (as well as relationship) after some six years off the last season of the TV Series. Will they come back as FBI agents? or will the story pick up after Mulder escaped his manhunt in the last episode with Scully? Also, there is no news on whether Assistant Director Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi), Agent John Doggett (Robert Patrick), and Agent Monica Reyes (Annabeth Gish) will be joining this movie as well.

Anyway, some forum about the series, like XFilesNews are already filled with rumors and speculations of the new movie's plot line. But as with Michael Bay's Transformers 2, I'm not going to take any of those rumors seriously, as they have a higher chance of turning into hoaxes and blow away all your excitement ^^;

Here's a clip of shooting in Vancouver. Not exactly a trailer or a teaser, because it doesn't tell you anything about the story at all. XD

The release date of this movie is 25th July 2008 according to IMDB. X-Files fans, remember to mark that date on your calender! ^^
