The shoulder joint looks much bigger than the DX Chogokin version. Much better for me who always worries about the strength of the different joints ^^;
Looks really close to the its appearance in the anime.

Hobby Japan has being releasing the design sketches for this model in its last three releases. I'm sure Macross fans won't miss this one for sure. If you're a fan of transformable models, then this would be a model you're being looking for as well.
If you don't like assembling models, Bandai provides the options for you as well (i.e. plamo fan or not, Bandai has plan for your wallet XD):

Apart from the color scheme, I like the head design of this VF-25S more than Alto's unit.

The main differences between these two DX Chogokin action figures are just the head and color scheme I suppose. Even so, the two looks really different from each other.
