The event will be the 48th this year (way more senior than Gundam himself XD), and it's going to be from May 14th till 17th at Twin Messe Shizuoka Convention Center. Admission fee is 300 Yen for adults and 100 Yen for students.
Shizuoka Hobby Show is the biggest plamo kit exhibition in the world, for your information, and is definitely one of the most important ones as well. With that said, there are plenty to expect from Bandai, being the biggest player in the Japanese plamo market. New Gunplas will definitely be shown. So, this event is definitely not to be missed for those who are concerned about what Gunplas we are going to get for the third quarter of 2009.
Then again, Gunpla is just part of the event, other sci-fi series, military models, resin kits, completed action figures and so on are also going to be displayed. Plus, participation is not limited to Japanese companies, international toy makers are going to be there showcasing their new products as well.
MG Gundam Ver. 2.0, G Armor, Zaku Ver. 2.0 variations and the shelved MG Guntank with electronic gimmick, HGUC Kampfer were among the sensational news for Shizuoka Hobby Show last year. What are we going to get this year I wonder. ;)
