Volks' A3 F-14D Tomcat & EF-2000 Typhoon

New images and release info of the two A3 (Advanced System of Action Arms) Senjutsuki action figures on display at Comiket 77 mentioned days ago.

Appeared in the video games "Muv-Luv Unlimited" and "Muv-Luv Alternative", these Senjutsuki (戦術機, "Tactical Machines"), or the longer version Senjutsuhokousentouki (戦術歩行戦闘機, "Tactical Walking Combat Machines") are robots designed based on real world fighter jets. Military fans must be quite familiar with "F-14D Tomcat" and "EF-2000 Typhoon" shown in the title. The earlier serves the United States' Navy since 1974, while Typhoon is the fighter jet developed by Eurofighter, currently deployed by Britain, Germany and a few other European countries.

The video games, which feature an alternate timeline to our current world, have these fighter jet changed to humanoid form, but retain the setting of the country which deployed them. Instead of fighting against nations, they are fighting against alien beings instead.

The action figures of these Senjutsuki are produced by Volks Hobby, under the A3 (Advanced System of Action Arms) series. F-14D Tomcat and EF-2000 Typhoon are two of the upcoming releases
