Details of this year's event:
Date: November 21st and 22nd
Time: 10.00 am to 9.00pm
Venue: Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre (Halls 403 and 404)
AFA09 will cover over 5,000 sqm of space at Suntec International Convention, where highlights confirmed so far include the Akiba Town Marketplace, Anime Blockbusters, Kids Land, Regional Cosplay Championships, Moe Moe Kyun Maid Café, an AFA Exclusive Specialty Shop, and live acts straight from Japan.
There will also be a one-day business conference, Animation Asia Conference 2009 (AAC09) to be held on November 20th at the same venue. This business conference will feature renowned speakers and talents to share their knowledge on how others can work with content from Japan to reach and engage the new generation of youth.

* Kids Land - for kids aged 4 and above, featuring sessions on how to make sushi, Gunpla workshop, lucky draw, photo-taking session with popular superheroes, screening of popular anime and others.
* Gundam 30th Anniversary corner - Gundam Time Tunnel Showcase, display of BAKUC winners' Gunpla work, and sales of exclusive items.
* "I Love Anisong" Mega Music Concert - Much larger scale music event as compared to last year's, featuring:
Ichirou Mizuki - "Aniki", Japan's "King of Anime Songs".
May'n - Song performer for Sheryl Nome from Macross F.
Shoko Nagakawa - "Shokotan", popular J-Pop performer, TV personality and blogger. This will be her first appearance at AFA.
Yoshiki Fukuyama - acclaimed guitarist, singer, and songwriter and member of JAM Project. First appearance at AFA as well.
* Special appearance by Danny Choo - Blogger and CEO of Mirai Inc. Danny Choo will be speaking at the Animation Asia Conference on consumer generated media and will also host the "Bandai x Danny Choo x AFA09 World Gunpla Competition" via his Mirai Gaia Platform at his website. Danny will also showcase his very own "Mirai-chan" mascot related merchandise at the event.
* Regional Cosplay Championship - Large scale cosplay competition, where participants will be judged by a panel of distinguished guests from Japan including internationally renowned cosplayer Kaname☆, who is best known for portraying Cloud Strife from "Final Fantasy VIl: Advent Children" and Ichigo Kurosaki from "Bleach".
Kaname☆ will also conduct a close-door panel session for cosplayers keen to learn more about how to improve their cosplay techniques.
