HG 1/144 Gundam RX-78-2 G 30th

Impossible, Useless Modeler's Gunpla Production Diary, which first posted the runners of HG 1/144 Gundam RX-78-2 G 30th two days ago has a completed review of this kit now.

Part separation and assembly method of the thigh and knee is somewhat similar to that of HG 1/144 00 Gundam.

Minimal parting line on all the parts.

Hand units - like HGUC Nu Gundam, all weapons can only be wielded with the right hand ^^;

The waist can bend forward/backward now ^^

Use of double-type pelvis joint really increases the articulation range of the legs.

Can reach and grab his beam saber. ^^
Quite a relief there, since one of the earliest photos showed that he can't reach it.

Comparison with the HGUC version released some 7 years ago.
Much better proportion, especially the body for this new version. ^^ ...

... and of course, much better articulation design as well.

Bigger shield, with mount rack but no handle to grab on anymore.

The targeting scope comes molded in yellow, as compared to a plain part for the HGUC version.

Bigger bazooka as well, but the part separation seems all the same.

No more beam part for the beam saber is quite a letdown, but the proportion and details are much better than the old one.

July 11th release, 1,260 Yen (inclusive of tax). This one's a must have for me. ^^
