July 16th and 17th will be for the participating companies, and public viewing will be on the 18th and 19th. Admission is free (for the public).
Tokyo Toy Show is a very important event to look out for the Bandai's new Gunpla offerings. From previous experience, I can say that many items from Shizuoka Hobby Show will be on display (again) at the event, but at the same time, new items will be inserted as well. One might miss a lot of goodies thinking that it'll be merely a revision of Shizuoka Hobby Show, this Tokyo Toy Show.
Some highlights from past events:
* Box art of RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. 2.0, G.F.F. Red Warrior, HY2M Beam Saber and preview of the Robot Damashii line in 2008.
* MG Turn A, box art of RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. OYW (Real TV Color Type), and Char's Gelgoog Ver. 2.0 in 2007.
* MG Ball Shark Mouth Marking Ver., the box art of MG F91, HGUC Zaku I Black Tri Star Ver. and others were displayed in 2006.
I'm betting that Bandai's going to show us the next one or two MGs after Exia, plus maybe the announcement of HGUC No. 100 at this year's Tokyo Toy Show ^^
