The ceremony took place during a brief break in the rain. Among the participants are Mr. Ueno Kazunori (上野和典氏), Bandai's President Chief Gundam Officer. He can be seen as the man standing on the right in the first image above.
The statue will be shown to the public between July 24th this year till January 10th, 2011. More details can be seen in this previous posting.
