The statue is located at East Shizuoka Square (north east of JR Shizuoka Station/Naganuma, Aoi-ku, Shizuoka City). It will be on display from July 24th, 2010 till January 10th, 2011. The performances of the statue are pretty much the same as the original display at Shiokaze Park in Odaiba last year: vertical movement of the head, about 50 light-up panels and 14 mist jet gimmicks installed inside its chest, feet and backpack. The lighting system installed around the statue will be a new feature.
And of course the beam saber it's holding in its right hand as well. ^^
Apart from the display of the statue, another highly related event - "the Capital of the World of Model - Shizuoka Hobby Fair" will be launched on the same day. This event however, will be ongoing till March 27th, more than 2 months after "RG 1/1 Scale Gundam Project" closes. The expected number of visitors to this event is 900,000.
More details of this event is not available at the moment.
The latest press release document also shows the layout of the display at the venue.
Apart from seeing the statue itself, there will also be areas for fans to shop for original goods, food stall and a "Gundam Zone" close by. Please take note that the food stall will be closed between October 1st and November 30th. Excluding this period of time, fans should be able to see the statue while enjoying some food at the venue.
The official original goods to be sold at the event are shown as well.
