This year's Chara Hobby will be held on August 29th and 30th at Makuhari Messe International Convention Complex, same venue as the recent Wonder Festival [Summer].
Chara Hobby is another major annual event for Bandai to showcase its upcoming Gunpla offers. The prototype of MG Gundam Unicorn Ver. Ka and others were displayed in 2007's, MG Infinite Justice, prototype of HGUC Geara Doga and others debuted in 2008's. As this year's Tokyo Toy Show featured more display of new products from Tamashii Nation, maybe Bandai will let its Hobby Division have the limelight for Chara Hobby 2009? ^^
Then again, Bandai's own Gundam Big Expo will be on from August 21st till 23rd. I doubt that Bandai would keep any goodies in the bag, not showing them at their own event and leaving them till Chara Hobby instead. So, we might be seeing a lot of "not-new-anymore" new Gunplas at this year's Chara Hobby ^^;
