Gunpla 30th Anniversary Special Projects & Campaigns

Much like Shizuoka Hobby Show, Gunpla 30th Anniversary's official site has plenty of updates uploaded today:

(1) "Gunpla Senshi Gunpla Builders Beginning G" - Gunpla 30th Anniversary's special anime series.



All three parts (A, B and C) to be released starting summer. The first part will be shown at Gundam Super Expo 2010 (see below). Trailers will be shown on Gunpla 30th Anniversary's official site and in hobby stores in summer. Also, the manga version will be serialized in monthly magazine "Kero Kero Ace" starting June 26th.

Custom coloring contest for designated MSs will be launched in 5 different hobby magazines:
* Kero Kero Ace - Mass Productive Type Zaku II
* Gundam Ace - Guncannon
* Hobby Japan - The O
* Dengeki Hobby - Gelgoog
* Model Graphix - Z'Gok

The work of the winning entry for each magazine will be featured in the anime.

(2) Gundam Super Expo 2010 - An event which focuses on "Gunpla", with display of Gundam related items, experiencing Gundam, sales of limited merchandises and special event.



Date: August 10th - 19th.
Time: 10AM - 6PM.
Venue: Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall

(3) HG Clear File Campaign - Store limited clear file for purchase of HG kits.

5 HG series involved: HGUC, HG Double O, HGAW, HG SEED and HGFC. All 4 types of design to be collected:


Starting May 21st: HGFC 1/144 God Gundam and HG 1/144 00 Gundam Seven Sword.

Starting June 19th: HGUC Double Zeta Gundam and Zeta Gundam

One clear file to be given out for each kit purchased from the series specified. While stock last.

(4) Gunpla Supporter Recruitment - Collection of Gunpla photos from all fans.

Send a photo of your Gunpla work to Bandai via email (gunpla_supporters@bandai-hobbyproshop.net). The Gunpla work can be straight assembled kit, modified and painted kits, diorama etc. Details needed for the email include your nickname and your prefecture/state.

Exactly what Bandai wants to do with your photos are not mentioned though. ^^;
