Transformers Animated - Autobots

The animation of this new Transformers series is not out yet, but Hasbro pretty much let all the cookies, I mean the toys out already ^^ Today we'll look at the Autobots first.

Images from TFormers.com

Optimus Prime Cybertron Ver, meaning Prime's form before descending to Earth. An axe wielding Prime with shield, and the face... Hmm...

A very strange-looking truck ^^ Hardcore Transformers fans should be able to guess how he transform into robot form from this picture :D The colors seem quite nice though, especially the clear blue parts for the windshield.

This is Optimus Prime Earth Form. The chest design and the mask are the same as most other versions, with a very strong American macho-man feel added to it.

Ratchet, ambulance as usual ^^

Prowl the ninja Autobots, or the male equivalence of Archee XD. You can watch him in action from the trailer posted previously.

Need me to introduce more? The super-cute Bumblebee sure will get the more hugs from the younger audience group.
Bumblebee's pose in the bottom right looks so wrong ^^;;

Somehow, the car looks like our local Perodua MyVi to me.

Bulkhead is probably the replacement for Ironhide, the weapon specialist in this series.

He transforms into a military vehicle.

It isn't very hard to guess how he transforms through this picture.

Grimlock says Grimlock strongest XD

Slag the Triceratop.

Which is your favorite? If I have to choose, I'll go for Optimus Prime Earth Form, as he is probably the closest to the conventional autobots I'm used to since childhood. I'm not saying that these designs are bad, some people do like them while others, like me, still hold on to the sentiment of Transformers being clunky and mechanical as how we watched them many many years back. Transformers designed with Superman's body is seriously not my cup of tea.

The Decepticons toys are coming up soon. Stay tuned!
