MG Gundam Ver. 2.0 - Updates

Some updates on the sample of MG Gundam Ver. 2.0 currently work-in-progress on Apron No Hito's Mokei Production Diary.

Not-quite-new inner frame design for the arm, but with plenty of sliding hydraulic pipe action ^^
The hand has individually movable fingers, making it a lot bigger than that from the other Gundam-type MGs.

Very wide movement range for the shoulder, but not exactly new either ^^;

Some cool joint design for the shoulder, the movement of the cylinder is linked to the shoulders.
Seems to be adapted from MG Destiny Gundam, but this time only the pipe moves, and not the entire shoulder section. A much similar design can be found on PG Gundam Wing Zero Custom.
It's certainly great to see how the MG line is adapting strengths of many previous Gunplas for improvements. ^^ Maybe one day all MGs will have LED parts for bling-bling effects ^^

The body unit is identical to the HGUC version when viewed from the outside. O_O

The round joint on the spine allows the body to bend to the left and right.
Back and forth? Not too sure about yet.

Beside the Core Fighter shown a few days ago, many other parts in the kit feature singular molding, including the inner frame for the thigh and most of the weapons.

A newly molded Gundam Hammer. ^^ The design looks the same to that in Ver. 1.5 and OYW nonetheless.

Near-transparent beam parts this time? They are used only for Ver. Ka MGs in the past. Also, it seems that you'll need to bend the beam part yourself in order to produce the curved beam saber as shown some time ago.

Although the overall design of this MG is vintage looking, the design of the decal (the font face used) seems quite modern to me ^^

Well, after this round of updates, I must say I'm quite impressed with MG RX-78-2 Ver. 2.0, ^^ especially the shoulder joint system. We haven't seen the leg yet, which is usually a 'huge' component in most MGs, with many articulation points to cover. From what I've seen so far, I think there are plenty of goodies to anticipate. Stay tuned for more updates.

On the other hand, three new images of this MG from Space Diary of the Captain:

Another view of the box. It really is quite small ^^;
