Real Grade Gundam RX-78-2 New Images

New images of two Real Grade Gundam coming in July. ^^

That's right, one big one for display and one small one you can get for yourself, ^^ both were showcased at a press conference at Bandai yesterday (March 19th).

For the 1/144 scale version, parts of the inner frame are pre-assembled on the runner, much like certain parts on earlier PG models. This new inner frame design, called "Advanced MS joint" offers the same articulation range as an MG kit, but reduces the number of parts by "1/10" as compared to MG (That's how they put it in the article).

The release date will be on July 24th - the same release date as 1/144 Gundam RX-78-2 released 30 years ago. 2,625 Yen (inclusive of tax).

Also, a miniature of Gunpla Real Grade 1/1 Scale Gundam RX-78-2 announced earlier on was shown at the press conference as well.

The statue will be on display in front of JR Higashi-Shizuoka Station, Aoi-ku, Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan between July 24th this year till January 10th, 2011. During that period, the "Touch and Walk" feature and the official store will be closed between October 1st and November 30th, but the statue will still be there.

T.M. Revolution, the performer of "Imaginary Ark", the official theme song for Gunpla 30th Anniversary was at the event promoting for RG Gundam RX-78-2 as well.

It's also announced at the press conference that Bandai is organizing an event called "Gunpla 30th Anniversary Gundam Super Expo", which will be held at Tokyo Dome City Prism Hall in August. After that, the "Gundam Expo Japan Tour" will be held, stating September, touring Japanese cities of Sapporo, Sendai, Nagoya, Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka and Okinawa.
